the pros
Extremely lightweight: Average weight is 5.2 lbs!
Very simple to use. Like most dual pickup guitars, it has a three-way switch: Bridge / Bridge + Neck / Neck. You have one master volume knob, followed by a master tone knob. That’s all you need to know to start playing.
Middle position, Bridge + Neck, is wired in serial. This gives it a notable volume boost. Neck pickup is RWRP so everything remains in-phase and hum-free.
Blazing hot, humbucking bridge pickup ensures that you have plenty of signal when you need it without the usual 60hz cycle hum, but with that undeniable single coil tone.
Neck pickup is detailed and articulate, chosen to compliment and balance with the bridge.
Treble bleed on the volume knob, so you can lower the output when needed without sacrificing your high end.
We prefer 300kpotentiometers for these two particular pickups, which lends both to having a more high-fidelity sound and plenty of harmonic content.
Our preferred Tone capacitor only shaves off the highest of the high end, for those moments when a "more vintage / less modern sound" is preferred. You can dial it in quickly and accurately without compromising your signal.
All models use a robust output jack that has dual tension grounds and dual positive tips. This increased surface area ensures a sturdy and secure cable connection to the guitar.
Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard and Bone Nut (25-1/2" scale, 22 frets, 4049 vintage jumbo fretwire, 12" radius, Nut width: 1-11/16" Profile shape: Modern 'C')
Vintage-style 6 inline tuning pegs.
Lightweight body with tummy cut.
Baby blue, aged, nitro-cellulose lacquer, with finish checking.
Thin, matte, white pickguard.
Hardtail,string-through, bridge.
Nickel 'un-shined’ hardware gives it a classic, already played-in feel.
True Bakelite pickguard
